Happy Anniversary (Special Features Disc)

miss_grimwoodI wanted my first special features post to be about the fic I've just written, revealed today for the HP milf fest: Happy Anniversary
Under the cut, I'm talking about my inspirations for the fic, some child development milestones, and thoughts on a sequel
The first and less interesting thing I'll share is that despite being a mod for the fest, I ended up needing a week long extension because of all my uni deadlines.
I love Electra, NellieTrelawney's oc child for belladolphus, and she was the suggested child for the prompt.
I chose to make her just under a year old because we've recently had two new twin babies start (my mum is a childminder), and they're somewhere between nine and ten months old, and it's a really fun age. I tend to try and make notes of developmental milestones by the age of the kids we have, to try and get a bit more accuracy in my kidfics.
At this age, they're crawling pretty solidly, and pulling themselves up on things to stand, but can't stand independently. They can feed themselves with their hands, but haven't mastered cutlery yet. They babble, mostly repeated sounds (mamama, dadada, bababa, etc) and squeals/coos/gurgles. The twins don't respond specifically to their own names yet (they'll respond to their own and each other's with the same reliability), but I think that's part of always being together - I can't be sure what singleton babies of the same age are like.
I was torn between two of Nellie's prompts for this fest (and if I had more time I'd have done both - maybe a sequel will come soon with the other prompt). The other choice was Bellatrix and Rodolphus trying for baby number 2, and the reason I went with this one rather than that is because I feel so rusty with smut.
Hopefully, when the smut muse returns, I can get some written and make a sequel in this universe
